So i’ve been examining faith really lately. And I’ve come to the point where your belief in God needs to be based soly on what you’ve learned and found in God’s word. When it comes to faith, or even relationship with God. You really can’t put your trust in any one man, no matter how nice or exalted they may be, they are still men and they still fail. I’ve seen a lot of people grasp hold of faith when its pleasant or appealing to them. But God seeks more who will grab hold of faith even in the toughest waters. Our tendency is to desire what we want, it floats around us or the me factor. That really becomes a boundry to our walks with God. And sometimes it will crush it all together.

When our wants and desires outweigh truth and what God tells us in his words we become unbalanced. I’ve died to the flesh, it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives within me. And the life that I know live, I live by faith in the word and the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Our lives when we come to God are hidden in Christ. He is our life, he needs to be our primary focus, not our familes, friends, our money, us. If we loose that then we loose foundation. We loose what needs to be our first love. We need perspective.

update on my nephew. He can hear some thing but not others. They are not sure at this point what the depth of his hearing loss is and he is going through tests.
