As I study, and apply God's word...even now it brings me to tears because I know I don't always die daily, but I know its my hearts desire!

Tim, I just read this. I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Indeed, he is in a far better place, but I am grateful for getting to know him when I had the chance. He had a lovely sense of humor that I will not forget.
My mom passed away in November from cancer and because I live in England, I was not there in time to say goodbye. I thank God for answering my prayer that she would go peacefully and that my brother said all the things that I wanted to say.
I pray God keeps carrying you, keeps sustaining you and brings you those moments of refreshment which we all so desperately need.
Hugs,
Jennifer

You presented it very well. Superb!
Let me add from other source - Bondservant means to labor without wages.
That's how we serve God, His Church and the world for free.

Mike slaves in that time were not quite the same as our understanding of slave. Think more indentured servant. The way I relate that verse to modern life is to work for my employer as I would if Christ himself were my employer. And I don't see anywhere that it says they couldn't seek their freedom.

Ephesians 6:16-17 -- Bondservents, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers, but as bondservants of christ, doing the will of God from the heart.

Does this mean that those who are legal slaves should treat their servitude as if they were in servitude to christ? In other words, slaves should not seek freedom from their masters?
